Promoting needs based technical and vocational training to equip and empower youth with improved skills for productive employment for the future.
About Skills Development
The combination of our current economic climate, high unemployment rates and alarming skills shortages are the biggest recipe for unending disaster in South Africa.
Unemployment in the Mbhashe Municipality is higher than 70%. There is a huge lack of skills such as sustainable agricultural practices, carpentry, welding, plumbing, electronics, innovative dwelling construction and small business management.
- Create a platform which supports the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as well as trainees for the formal sector.
- Close the skills gap, and make a positive and durable change by facilitating a Skills Development Program linking the evolving needs of the society to the required skills and competencies.
- Mobilise resources and introduce transformative tools, which will empower communities with skills and inspire them to break away from poverty, self sustain and become positive contributors to society.
